1. Be collegial: start with a positive remark about some aspect of the post
2. Be respectful if you disagree with the post’s author
3. Be encouraging if you detect further directions the author might go with the topic
4. Be clear about the reasoning behind your comments
5. Be courteous (no offensive or insulting language or inappropriate content)
6. Avoid plagiarism (credit sources you draw upon)
7. Avoid commercial content

Comments incompatible with these guidelines will be blocked.

Blocked comments by PHIL 355 students will receive zero credit.  A first blocked comment may be revised for re-posting (and credit) provided this done within 24 hours of notification.  Any subsequent blocked comments may not be revised.
